Shop Technician / Laborer

Essential Duties: 

• This position is responsible for the repair of machinery and equipment, component assemblies, and parts in the shop, including testing, diagnosing, evaluating, troubleshooting, maintaining care of company assets, and proper communication with others.
• Maintain and inspect equipment includes but is not limited to welding machines (electric and diesel), generators, MIG boxes, chain falls, chain hoists, hand tools, etc.
• Inventory tools and equipment, load tools in tool trailer(s) for upcoming jobs, receive and unload tools that come in from jobsites.
• Assist with other tasks as required.

Qualifications: 

• At least 1 year of construction tooling and warehouse experience.
• Must be able to repair small tools and have understanding of working components. 
• Must have a valid drivers license with the ability to drive company vehicles locally.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements. 

Physical/Site Requirements: 

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.
• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
