The successful applicant will set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members, use tag lines during hoisting, and understand fastening methods. You will position and install steel members using hoisting devices and tools such as turnbuckles, sleaver bars, and porta powers, align holes with drift pins and spud wrenches, and verify alignment using lasers and levels.
The role includes bolting members temporarily, modifying steel components with welding equipment or grinders, and assisting with loading, transporting, and securing materials. You will also perform minor tool maintenance and support lifting and positioning during installation. This position typically requires at least 48 months of industrial construction experience and strict adherence to safety procedures.
