Agricultural Millwright

Heartland Millwrights is looking for millwrights to join our full time crew. We offer company paid health insurance, LTD, and PTO. This position is 100% travel. We are seeking mid-level experienced Millwrights looking to gain skills and knowledge. Our pay scale depends on 4 primary factors: Years of millwrighting, miscellaneous skills, and certifications; based on what you bring to each category, a payrate will be determined between $22-$35/hour. Per diem is $100/day.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Installation & Maintenance: Install, assemble, and maintain a variety of agricultural machinery, including but not limited to grain elevators, feed mills, gearboxes, and irrigation systems. Conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
• Repair & Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair strategies to minimize downtime. Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Upgrades & Modifications: Collaborate with engineering teams to implement upgrades and modifications to existing equipment, aiming to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to industry regulations and safety protocols during all maintenance and repair activities. Ensure that all equipment meets or exceeds safety standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used. Provide comprehensive reports on equipment status and performance.

Requirements

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding. Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment and machinery.
• Problem-solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions under time constraints.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Team Player: Capable of collaborating with diverse teams and communicating effectively to achieve common goals.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, often outdoors, and lift heavy equipment or machinery parts.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years minimum of holding the Millwright title specifically.
• Eagerness to do the work well and get home safely.
• Willingness to travel 100% of the time.
• Personal tool set.
• Cell phone with texting.
• Driver’s License.
• Vehicle/transportation, fit for long road trips to and from job sites.
• Debit/credit card for booking accommodations.
• Funds to begin travel, to be reimbursed by per diem.
• Ability to communicate in English.
