Location: Within a 2-hour drive of The Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario, Adirondack Mountains, and near world-class skiing in Lake Placid, NY. Proximity to Canada, with Montreal and Ottawa 2-3 hours away.

Experience Level: Mid-Senior
Experience Required: 5+ years in industrial electrical roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
Education Level: All education levels are welcome.

Job Summary: A leading mining operation is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician Supervisor to manage the electrical team at its underground zinc mining site. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting with team management, and the ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge in industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, DC/AC drives, and high-voltage equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the electrical team, prioritizing and coordinating tasks effectively.
  • Plan and schedule work, managing inventory and ordering materials as needed for upcoming projects.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLC panels, drives, motors, transformers, fans, pumps, and generators.
  • Work with various electrical components including 4-20 mA, 4160, 13.8, AC up to 480v, 5kva, and DC voltages.
  • Interpret and follow electrical schematics and prints.
  • Assist with tasks both underground and on the surface as needed.
  • Develop expertise in hoisting and crushing operations, troubleshooting these systems as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years in industrial electrical work, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and working with PLCs, DC/AC drives, and high-voltage equipment.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with department managers and team members.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions safely and efficiently.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
