Position Purpose
To install, repair, and maintain all electrical systems and components needed to keep equipment running as safely and efficiently as possible. Provide support to facilities maintenance with basic electrical tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability and Experience Required
Must be qualified as a journeyman electrician or have completed an equivalent educational program.
Must have at least five years of experience in an industrial electrician role - industry type is not important.
Must be proficient in all electrical systems including low voltage DC, single phase AC, and three-phase AC up to 480V.
Experience with PLC controls and PLC programing is required - may be required to learn a new PLC programing language if needed.
Must possess a good mechanical background.
Must be familiar with local electrical codes.
Must be able to read, write and perform mathematical functions in order to understand, design and implement electrical circuits.
Must be able to read and interpret all electrical drawings including machine and building schematics.
Must provide own hand tools including insulated electrician's and mechanic's tools.
Must be able to successfully complete classroom instruction related to storage, handling, and treatment of hazardous materials (hazmat) and emergency response to hazmat incidents.
Essential Duties
Installs new electrical services and equipment to NEC standards.
Maintains and repairs electrical services and equipment including motors, motor controls (AC&DC), process controls, and electro-plating equipment.
Designs and modifies circuitry.
Performs PLC installation, programing, and repairs.
Produce quality products in a safe and economical way.
Maintains inventory of materials and supplies for electrical maintenance.
Maintains records and schematics required for electrical maintenance.
Observes all safety and good housekeeping regulations of the department and/or the company such as, wearing safety glasses, safety shoes, ear protection, using insulated hand tools, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
Must always maintain a consistent and positive approach towards colleagues.
Strive to continuously improve personal skills and look for ways to continuously improve Wright & McGill equipment and process.
Other Duties
Performs related mechanical work including lighting and H.V.A.C repairs.
Performs less skilled work in the Machine Shop or other areas as directed.
Physical Environment and Working Conditions
Must be able and willing to wear safety equipment such as face coverings, respirators, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, aprons, gloves, protective sleeves and any other PPE required to perform assigned duties.
Must be able to work in a factory environment with significant mechanical noise from production machinery.
Must be mentally alert to constant hazards of machinery and chemicals.
May be required to wear hearing protection and participate in hearing conservation program.
Must attend Confined Space Entry Training Program.
When required, be able and willing to perform repairs or installations on rooftops or outdoors in inclement weather.
Requires the ability to climb and work from ladders up to 20 ft.
Able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours a day.
Must be capable of frequently lifting 25 lbs. and occasionally lifting 75 lbs.
Must be able to work in close proximity to oils, solvents, and chemicals used in production equipment.
Must be able to reach above head and shoulders to perform required tasks.
Must be able to twist, bend, stoop and work in confined spaces such as tanks, furnaces and closets.

Own Hand tools, power tools, electrical meters & machine shop equipment.
Employment at Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle is contingent on successful completion of background check and drug and alcohol screening.
