Blasting/Coating

Pay is based on expierence. One week vacation and 7 holidays paid.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet schedule demands
  • Ability to operate mechanical blasting equipment to properly prep material for measurements and coating application (OJT provided by Lark)
    • Small blast-it-all cabinets
    • Large walk-in booth requiring use of PAPR
  • Ability to properly prep and apply various coatings to components
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow basic drawings and/or work instructions
  • Understanding and demonstrated use of basic hand tools (e.g. ratchets/sockets, wrenches)
  • Understanding and use of intermediate tools (e.g. right angle grinder, handheld drill/impact, drill press, shop saws)
  • Ability to load material and safely operate water jet machine on-site (OJT provided by Lark)
  • Qualified to safely operate forklift on a Duke Energy site
  • Rigger Qualified (preferred but not required)
    • Completed through a Duke Energy accredited organization
  • Bridge Crane Qualified (NCCCO or equivalent) – preferred, but not required
