$30–$38/hr + $150 Per Diem (Eligible Travelers Only) | 50–70+ Hours | East Coast Travel

Byers Industrial Services is actively hiring experienced Mechanical Journeymen to support our growing Northeast and Southeast Divisions across the East Coast.

This is a traveling, project-based role with strong potential for long-term placement for top performers.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery and heavy equipment

• Perform precision alignment and equipment setting

• Rigging and moving heavy machinery and components

• Set, anchor, and level machinery

• Troubleshoot mechanical systems and perform repairs

• Assist with teardown, rebuilds, and reinstallation

• Conveyor systems and production line work

• Bolt-up, torqueing, and mechanical assembly

• Welding and basic fabrication (as needed)

What We’re Looking For:

• Journeyman-level experience in one or more trades:

  • Millwright

  • Welder

  • Rigger

  • Ironworker

  • Boilermaker

• Multi-craft experience strongly preferred

• Proven experience with rigging, equipment setting, and alignment

• Welding and fabrication experience preferred

• Strong background in industrial environments

• Ability to read prints and work independently

• Must pass drug screen

• OSHA 10 (within 3 years) or OSHA 30 (within 5 years) REQUIRED

• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

Pay & Benefits:

• $30–$38/hour (based on experience & skillset)

• $150/day per diem – PAID 7 DAYS (Eligible Travelers Only)

  • Must meet distance requirements and work required hours to qualify

• 50–70+ hours/week (varies by project)
